Minimum requirements
To be nominated by a province and substantially increase Express Entry CRS, the applicant must have a valid Express Entry profile, meets and maintains minimum requirements of either Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades or Canadian Experience Class stream

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee the applicant will receive the invitation. Please refer the application process. Priority will be given to candidate living and working in Prince Edward Island, the province reserve the right to apply any restrictions on EOI draw.

Open Express Entry Profile
Submit an Express Entry profile to IRCC when eligible with Prince Edward Island as the destination. The profile is scored and ranked.Profile valid for 12 months
Profile submission
Create expression of interest profile with Office of Immigration. The profile is scored and ranked.
Profile valid for 6 months
Provincial invitation
Depending on allocation quota, candidates with the highest EOI scores in the pool will be invited to submit the nomination application.
Submit the application within 60 days
Decision of Nomination
Application approved, the applicant receives a Nomination Certificate to update their Express Entry profile and receive additional points.Province reviews in 4 - 6 months
Federal invitation
Applicant having a higher CRS score or same CRS score with the profile created earlier will receive invitation to apply.
Profiles are selected every 2 weeks
Get PR Status
Application approved, the applicant gets Permanent Resident status after landing or confirming on IRCC Portal.IRCC reviews in 6 months
o has submitted their application to IRCC before the expiry of work permit may apply for a work permit extension to continue working legally.

Immigration Ineligibility
- Have another pending immigration application in any province
- Have been refused for misrepresentation
- Are living in Canada illegally, out of status or have not applied for restoration of status within 90 days after losing the status
- Have been denied entry to any countries
- Have applied for or been refused refugee status or humanitarian and compassionate considerations
- Are offered a seasonal, part-time or casual job
- Are offered a sale position that is paid by commission
- Are offered home-based or remote work
- Are offered a position in a company where the applicant is a shareholder
- Are offered a position where the applicant can start a business and/or become self-employed
Basic requirements
- Have a valid Express Entry profile, meet and maintain all requirements of either Federal Skilled Workers, Federal Skilled Trade or Canadian Experience Class stream
- Are living or working in Prince Edward Island
- If working under a post-graduation work permit or a work permit issued for spouse/common-law partner of an international student, the applicant must have at least 9 consecutive months of work experience working for the same employer, and the work permit must be valid for at least 4 months at the time of application submission
- Intend and have the ability to live permanently in Newfoundland & Labrador
