Submit an Express Entry profile to IRCC when eligible with Nova Scotia as the destination. The profile is scored and ranked.Profile valid for 12 months
Provincial invitation
Candidates with work experience in priority occupations will be invited directly by Nova Scotia to submit the application.
Submit application within 30 days
Decision of Nomination
Application approved, the applicant receives a Nomination Certificate to update their Express Entry profile and receive additional points.
Province reviews in 3 months
Federal invitation
Applicant having a higher CRS score or same CRS score with the profile created earlier will receive invitation to apply.
Profiles are selected every 2 weeks
Get PR Status
Application approved, the applicant gets Permanent Resident status after landing or confirming on IRCC Portal.IRCC reviews in 6 months

Important requirements the applicant should note
Immigration Ineligibility
- Are in Canada and out of status
- Have received a nomination under NSNP or Atlantic Immigration Pilot program within the last 12 months.
- Are in Live-in Caregiver Program;
- Intend to work in NOC C or D occupations after being nominated
- Have relative(s) (parent, grandparent or spouse) who is Canadian or PR
- Are in unresolved custody or child support disputes that affect any family member
- Are under a removal order in or outside of Canada
- Are currently studying at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Receive a government-funded grant or scholarship that requires a return to the home country after graduation and have not yet done so
- Are working under TEER category 4 or 5 on a post-graduation work permit
- Are offered a position that is paid by commission, home-based or remote work
Basic requirements
- Between 21 to 55 years old
- Have a valid and eligible Express Entry profile
- Intend and have the ability to live permanently in Nova Scotia after being nominated
* Express entry applicants register with the province when eligible or are invited directly by the province in the Express Entry System
Work experience
- At least 1 year of full-time work experience under TEER category 0, 1, 2, 3 in Nova Scotia within the last 3 years
Education
- Equivalent to Canadian high-school
- Foreign education credential(s) must be assessed by Educational Credential Assessment
Language
Minimum CLB 5, assessed by 1 of 5 language proficiency tests within the last 2 years:

- Have an unresolved refugee or humanitarian claim in Canada
- Have applied for refugee and been refused
- Are under a removal order in or outside of Canada
- Are in unresolved custody or child support disputes that affect any family member
- Are currently studying at a Canadian post-secondary institution
- Receive a government-funded grant or scholarship that requires a return to the home country after graduation and have not yet done so
Basic requirements
- Between 21 to 55 years old
- Have a valid and eligible Express Entry profile
- Demonstrate the interest in immigration to Nova Scotia by selecting Nova Scotia or All Provinces and Territories
- Receive the Letter of Interest directly from Province of Nova Scotia
- Intend and have the ability to live permanently in Nova Scotia after being nominated
- Sign a Return of Service Agreement with the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, commit to live and work in Nova Scotia for at least 2 years after being nominated

Job offer
- With public health (NSHA or IWK) under NOC 31100, 31101 Specialist physicians or 31102 General practitioners and family physicians
Education
- Have valid foreign education credential(s) assessed by the Medical Council of Canada
