Minimum requirements

To be nominated by a province and substantially increase Express Entry CRS, the applicant must have a valid Express Entry profile, meets and maintains minimum requirements of either Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades or Canadian Experience Class stream

Skilled Worker

Candidates with a valid Express Entry profile and ties to the province

Job offer
1 year within the last 10 years if in a high-skilled occupation from outside of Canada, or
1 year within the last 3 years if in a high-skilled occupation in Canada, or
2 years within the last 5 years if in a skilled trades occupation
Education
Equivalent to 1-year post-secondary education in Canada
Language
French is the first language

Meet or exceed 60 / 110 points
Tech Talent

Candidate working or having experience, and a job offer in the information technology sector

Work experience
Currently working full-time for at least 6 months in the same position as the job offer, or having 1 year of experience within the last 5 years
Outside SK: 1 year of work experience within the last 5 years
Job offer
Permanent full-time in the technology or innovation sector
Licence to practise
Eligible for professional licensing in Saskatchewan
Education
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Canada

Open Express Entry Profile
Stage 1

Submit an Express Entry profile to IRCC when eligible with Saskatchewan as the destination. The profile is scored and ranked based on the information provided. Profile valid for 12 months

Profile submission
Stage 2

Create an expression of interest profile on OASIS. The profile is scored and ranked based on the information provided. Profile valid for 12 months

Provincial invitation
Stage 3

Depending on allocation quota, candidates with the highest EOI scores in the pool will be invited to submit the nomination application.

Nomination Decision
Stage 4

Application approved, the applicant receives a Nomination Certificate to update their Express Entry profile and receive additional points.
Province reviews in 38 weeks

Federal invitation
Stage 5

Applicant having a higher CRS score or same CRS score with the profile created earlier will receive invitation to apply.
Profiles are selected every 2 weeks

Get PR Status
Stage 6

Application approved, the applicant gets Permanent Resident status after landing or confirming on IRCC Portal.IRCC reviews in 6 months

Candidate who has submitted their application to IRCC before the expiry of work permit may apply for a work permit extension to continue working legally.

  • Relate to field of study and primary occupation
  • Work experience is based on the occupation:
    ○ 1 year within the last 10 years in positions classified under TEER level 0, 1, 2, or 3, or
    ○ 2 years within the last 5 years for skilled trades work, or
    ○ 1 year within the last 3 years in TEER level 0, 1, 2, or 3 positions, or in skilled trades, if the experience was gained in Canada

  • If under NOC 21112 as a Professional Agrologist (PAg) or Technical Agrologist (TechAg): provide proof of licensure or articling approval from the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA)

Work experience

  • Currently working in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months (780 hours), full-time (30+ hours per week) with the same employer as in the job offer
  • Consecutive work experience is not required.
  • Candidate outside Saskatchewan or not currently working: 1 year of experience in the technology and innovation occupations within the last 5 years
  • Eligible technology and innovation occupations:

Job offer

  • Permanent, full-time in the technology and innovation occupations with the current employer
  • Have the SINP Job Approval Letter, a pre-approved authorization for hiring foreign workers, issued to the employer by the province
