To be nominated by a province and substantially increase Express Entry CRS, the applicant must have a valid Express Entry profile, meets and maintains minimum requirements of either Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades or Canadian Experience Class stream

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee the applicant will receive the invitation. Please refer the application process.The province only invites candidates whose primary occupation meets economic priorities. Candidates cannot apply to these streams unless invited directly by the province.

Open Express Entry Profile
Submit an Express Entry profile to IRCC when eligible with Ontario as the destination. The profile is scored and ranked.Profile valid for 12 months
Provincial invitation
Depending on allocation quota, candidates working in priority occupations will be invited directly to submit the nomination application.
Submit the application within 45 days
Decision of Nomination
Application approved, the applicant receives a Nomination Certificate to update their Express Entry profile and receive additional points.
Province reviews in 60 - 90 days
Federal invitation
Applicant having a higher CRS score or same CRS score with the profile created earlier will receive invitation to apply.
Profiles are selected every 2 weeks
Get PR Status
Application approved, the applicant gets Permanent Resident status after landing or confirming on IRCC Portal.IRCC reviews in 6 months
Candidate who has submitted their application to IRCC before the expiry of work permit may apply for a work permit extension to continue working legally.
Having a job offer is not required under Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program for Express Entry

Basic requirements
- Have a valid Express Entry profile, meet and maintain all requirements of either Federal Skilled Workers or Canadian Experience Class stream
- Intend and have the ability to live permanently in Ontario
- Have a legal or maintained status until the time of nomination (visitor record, study permit or work permit)
* Candidate cannot apply for this program on provincial EOI system
* The province will directly notify candidates using Express Entry system based on candidate's primary occupation and provincial economic priorities
Work experience
- At least 1 year of continuous full-time work experience or equivalent within the last 5 years under TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupations if applying under Federal Skilled Workers stream, or
- At least 1 year of full-time work experience or equivalent within the last 3 years under TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupations if applying under Canadian Experience Class stream
Education
- Equivalent to a Canadian bachelor's degree or better
- Not required if registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in the General, Extended, or Temporary class and the primary NOC is 31300, 31301, 31302, or 32101
- Foreign education credential(s) must be assessed by Educational Credential Assessment
Language
Minimum CLB 7, assessed by 1 of 4 language proficiency tests within the last 2 years:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) General Training
- Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP-General)
- Pearson Test of English - Core (PTE-Core)

- License or certification to practice issued by a regulatory body in Ontario if required
